Things I've written

Allide mane, illige bande summane

My house is elsewhere. I'm just visiting.

Conversations with my grandfather, Krishna Rao Manvikar, 1934 to 2014.

My grandfather and me, smiling, at a restaurant table
Thatha and me.

In July 2013 I sat down across from my grandfather with a pen and a diary and told him I was writing his biography. He looked amused, a little pleased, and decided to humour me.

We talked mostly over lunch, for a few weeks. He passed away in May 2014, before we got to the end.

So this is unfinished, and some of it will stay that way, by design.

We spoke in Kannada. His words here are my rough translations.
